Letter from teacher
Welcome to our 2nd grade class,
I’m looking forward to an exciting year with all of you.
Our classroom is structured to provide a safe and productive learning environment for all students. This is achieved early on in the year by fostering strong routines and classroom rules that are based on our school character traits. (Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Self-discipline and Craftsmanship).
From talking to many of you already I know that you are all excited to watch your child not only learn and grow into strong readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientists, but also grow into creative, independent thinkers and persons of strong character. By working together we can achieve this goal.
If your child will be absent please contact me so your child can keep up with classroom information.
If you need to contact me, the best way is to write a note in their planner. I will check them every morning. You can also send me an e-mail at Joanne.wheeler@ppsel.org . If you need me during the day for an emergency, you can contact the school at 522-2580. I am also available for short meetings before or after school, just contact me so we can set up a time for this.
