Week of August 30, 2010
Hello first and second grade families!
This is going to be a busy week this week. Our class is going to be learning about the external body of a fish, and it's function for its survival.
Our class is doing great with homework! Keep up the great work. Make sure to please turn in a reading log every Monday. These can be printed as needed from the homework section of the website.I also will give your child one every week to keep in their reading group bags.
In math this week we are reviewing our work with basic subtraction using pictures to count and take away.. We are also solidifying our recognition of numbers from ten to twenty as well as counting to 100.
Reminder! Please make sure to send your child with tennis shoes every Monday and Friday! I am excited for the additional two Fridays a month for PE.
