Letter from teacher
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the new school year! We have a very exciting school year ahead of us. A couple of things that you should know is that our specials schedule is posted here on my website. When your child has P.E. please make sure your child has tennis shoes or they will not be able to participate! P.E. is on Thursdays and everyother Friday!
Also, this year, my classroom will be a tree nut free classroom. I will be working with the parents of these children to compile a list of snacks that will be allowed in my classroom. Thank you for being understanding about this issue!
Math: This week we are working on number words and reviewing some addition facts.
Reading: This week we are working on the reading strategy of making connections. This occurs when a reader connects what they are reading to themselves, another text or the world. We will be working on all three connections.

Grading has changed this year to the traditional A-F scale.

This week we are covering making connections. Students will make connections from what they read to themselves, the world around them and to other texts they have read.
