Ms. Pitchford is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English, a minor in Art History, and a Masters in Education. Following graduation, she became a reading interventionist and worked with at risk students in California. Since moving to Colorado, she has taught Kindergarten through fourth grades. She began teaching at PPSEL in 2005, and taught on the first second grade loop from 2007-2017. In 2017, Ms. Pitchford transitioned to the school Intervention Team and is currently PPSEL's Intervention Coordinator helping to facilitate our MTSS team, gifted programming, and 504 accommodations.

In her down time, you will typically find Ms. Pitchford at the pool, walking her dogs, or hiking. She also loves taking digital photography while on vacation. She can’t wait to get this school year started, and is looking forward to meeting all of you.
