WELCOME BACK 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS!

I am very excited for a new year! I can't wait to teach your student. During the first week of school we will be reviewing some prior learned concepts. During the first week we will also be giving STAR testing and math placement exams. It will definitely be a busy week. So, make sure your student gets lots of rest and eats breakfast. 2023-2024 school is going to be great!

Parents/Guardians,

Students are allowed to correct any homework that has a failing grade and turn it in for a better grade. We go over homework daily and discuss any concerns they have. They are allowed to make corrections as we go over it.  Please email me if you have questions about this policy.

I have been teaching at PPSEL since 2019. Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am super excited to start a new year working with you and your scholar! It is going to be year full of adventure and learning and I can’t wait to see what your scholar brings to class. I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.

I have been married to my amazing husband Jason since 2011. We have two sons, Gavin and Jack. They are balls of energy that keep me on my feet at all times when I am not at school. We love to go hiking, cooking and read together!

I graduated from Buena Vista University with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in math. I earned my masters from NSU in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014. I began teaching in 2006 and have taught math grades 5 thru 8  and science. I truly enjoy teaching mathematics! It is my goal to give kids a clear understanding of mathematics so that they are not afraid to do the math. I push to show my students how this will all apply to their life outside of my classroom.
